Railway Trail

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

The top two pictures are of the railway trail. When the British first settled this island they built a railroad in order to move people and troops from St George to the Dockyards where the British anchored part of their fleet. Later when it proved financially nonviable they pulled the tracks out. The country decided to turn it into a hiking, walking artery through the island. We use it as a running path, beautiful and not congested with traffic. The third photo is of a moon circle that is a sign of good luck and the next photo is from the beach. The last photo is my family with two couples from Bermuda that our family has become friendly with over the years.
